END OF DAY TWO
Before we bounced out of San Jose we scored a cargo holder and we loaded it up with some of the swag that’s been knocking around and we gained a bit more foot room. I was especially stoked that I could lean my seat back. I’m no longer sitting upright.
We made it to Sac-TOWN! after a few stops along the way, like for snow cables which we desperately needed and my quest for the perfect mailbox took me on a jog to several different places. We went to the capital building and then to Red Lotus bar where our mixer was, that began around four in the early evening. While it was dreaded three hours of interviews that I shot where I interrogated several indie press members, I learned about the city that they call home.
After the discussion session, we finally snagged a bite at The Old Spaghetti Factory. It was the first hot meal I had in a few days and it was glorious. I had a good chat with Matt and caught a few winks before making it over to Heidi’s Mom Diana’s home near Redding California. Wrote my letters and called it a night. That’s all for now and I’ll do things more interesting today. But it’s not looking good with a our eight hour trip to Portland. Maybe I’ll watch Footloose, so “let’s hear it for the boy.”
